UC clients: Attendant Console

If you don’t know, this is a software designed for a recepcionist or a secretary, allowing the user to manage simultaneous voice calls from a single interface. It receives, make calls, put them on hold, park, consult others (by instant messaging or voice) before transfering them.

The interface is vertically split in two areas:

  • Left side – on the conversations pane you have the current active conversation/call on the center. Above it appears all the incoming calls, and below all answered calls on hold;
  • Right side – the contacts pane allow the attendant to search and organize corporate users and transfer incoming calls.

This is not a new product and has only a few improvements than the previous client versions for OCS:

  • Initiate conference calls;
  • Prioritize calls;
  • Use one-click operation for answering/transferring/holding.
